Future Plans for Bondi Junction

Bondi Junction Reports
Various plans and reports relating to Bondi Junction are available on the Waverley Council website.

Ongoing Capital Works
Working with the Bondi Junction Committee, Landscape Architects Spackman Mossop have unveiled exciting concept plans to transform Oxford Street West into a boulevard style gateway to the Junction. Work on the transformation, which will follow Council's Urban Design framework, should commence this year. The concept plans hinge on balancing the demands of parking, bicycle access, pedestrian amenity and public transport movements.

Stay tuned for more details on future works to the Waverley Street Mall, Spring Street and Bronte Road, including improved footpaths, improved branding, improved maintenance and co-operative marketing strategies.

Rowe Street Interchange
Residents, workers, and retailers alike will benefit from Council and landowners efforts to achieve better connectivity from the interchange through Rowe Street, connectivity that would provide safer and more convenient access to both the rail concourse and the Oxford Street Mall.

Town Square
A visionary concept to create an active Town Square centred on the existing Bronka Arcade is being developed by Council in conjunction with a number of private landowners. Delivery of the Town Square vision will complete the picture of a vibrant, accessible Bondi Junction with seamless pedestrian connectivity between Westfield, the Mall, the Interchange and Eastgate Shopping Centre.
